The Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, together with the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology, is delighted to announce the hosting of the "2024 Korea-US Advanced Industry and Technology Cooperation Forum" on June 27th in Washington, DC, USA.
Themed "Toward a Stronger, Strategic, and Resilient Partnership for Innovation," the Forum this year marks its third year and will reflect on the increasingly robust technological cooperation between our nations in advanced industrial sectors and deliberate on pathways towards sustainable growth. Furthermore, the Forum will facilitate discussions on collective solutions to global issues such as open innovation, digital transformation, and supply chain crises, all through the lens of innovative cutting-edge technologies.
This year's Forum, in particular, will focus on envisioning the future trajectories of advanced industries propelled by AI innovations and share collaborative ventures such as the launch of the US Global Industry Technology Cooperation Center and joint R&D projects with agencies for innovation from Korea and the US.
Through this Forum, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, along with the Korea Institute for Advancement of Technology, seeks to strengthen our bilateral partnership, provide impetus for active technological collaboration in advanced industrial sectors with Korean SMEs and mid-sized enterprises as well as agencies for innovation in the US. Additionally, we aim to deepen our countries’ relationship by sharing economic, social, and cultural values, thereby cementing our alliance as partners committed to mutual sustainable growth and innovation.
